Beyonic is a technology company based in Uganda. Its mission is to move financial operations between businesses and their employees beyond cash, thus increasing security and transparency while dramatically improving efficiency. The combined loss due to misappropriation and additional security associated with cash is enormous. So much so, that it is believed that one can increase the efficiency of every dollar in Africa by 20% by shifting to electronic payment systems. This applies for all sectors, flows of aid, government payments and foreign direct investments.

Wecyclers gives households a chance to capture value from their waste. As households accumulate points over time, based on the volume and quality of recyclables that they give us, they can redeem them for specific rewards depending on their level of participation. These rewards include basic household items, mobile phone minutes and sponsored prizes making the benefits of recycling tangible.
Wecyclers works in partnership with the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) and collects recyclable waste, including plastic bottles, plastic bags, and aluminum cans, at the household level using low-cost bicycle-powered collection vehicles called “wecycles”
